Sue H. Abreu, M.D., FACNP, is an engineer and physician who consults for corporations and healthcare organizations. Known for her insightful analytical abilities, she specializes in nuclear medicine product development, professional services and organizational management. In 2002, she retired from the U.S. Army Medical Corps after rising to the rank of colonel and serving as the nuclear medicine consultant to the Army Surgeon General. Throughout her career she has focused on quality services and has been active in multiple professional organizations (SNM, ACNP, ASNC, and ACR) including serving as president of the American College of Nuclear Physicians in 2001. She is currently President-elect of the ICANL (Intersocietal Commission for the Accreditation of Nuclear Medicine/Cardiology Laboratories) and serves as an application reviewer and site visitor.  She served as a 2006 Examiner for the Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Program.
